Information on COVID-19 and Traveling to Santa Fe

NMSafeCertified_Logo_RGB-2 (4) (1)In order to ensure the safety of our city and our guests, we ask that all of our guests take a few minutes to familiarize themselves with the State of New Mexico’s current guidelines for traveling into New Mexico during these extraordinary times.  Also, please be aware that, as always, Adobe Casitas is thoroughly disinfecting and ventilating our rental properties between guest stays.  All our linens and towels are also cleaned by a professional laundry service off site.

Important:  The wearing of masks is a mandatory State requirement when roaming the streets or visiting our business establishments.

In a nutshell:  We received great news for the hospitality industry at the beginning of September, with the Governor’s announcement of limited visitation to the state without a required self-quarantine and movement of the hotel occupancy cap from 50% to 75% for hotels and lodging venues that have completed the NM Safe Certified program (Adobe Casitas is certified). While this does not allow us to return to what we might consider normal, it does provide us the opportunity to capitalize on Santa Fe’s popularity as a world-renowned destination for the next two, historically strong, months.

With dining open outdoors at 75% and indoors at 25%, retail and museums operating at 25% and now hotels allowed to accept 75% occupancy levels, this may be our new normal for the foreseeable future until a widespread vaccine application exists. We have to be careful not to take this relaxation of restrictions as a signal that the issues related to the pandemic are going away. Every business must redouble efforts to follow their state COVID-Safe Practice (CSP) guidelines, take the Santa Fe Promise and become New Mexico Safe Certified assuring our visitors that safety is our first and most important consideration. If not, we will once again drop back into heightened restrictions and lose this opportunity to see a bit of economic recovery.
